At the Joint Replacement Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center, we treat acute and degenerative conditions which affect the joints. With various treatment options, our program is individualized and designed to fit each patient’s
needs and goals.
Our center is dedicated to the wellness of patients who require any type of joint replacement surgery. We work with highly trained physicians, and offer a multidisciplinary team that may include: dedicated nurses, physical rehabilitation specialists,
a dedicated Orthopedic Patient Navigator, discharge planner and pain management specialists.
Prior to admission, patients will participate in a pre-operative class to help prepare for their visit, as well as discharge education to explain the necessary steps for at-home healing. Additionally, we provide a comfortable setting in a private room
with specially prepared meals and internet access. Upon request, accommodations are available for your support coach throughout your admission.

The Joint Replacement Center is designed for comfort and healing. Our Surgical Special Care Unit combines a pleasant, home-like atmosphere with exceptional nursing care and provides the comfort and privacy needed to assist in a speedy recovery. Amenities
include:
- 16 spacious, private rooms equipped with a flat screen television, internet access and in-room safe for your personal belongings
- Private patient refrigerators
- Sleep accommodations, upon request, for your support coach

At the Joint Replacement Center at St. Mary’s Medical Center, we want to help make your surgery experience as easy as possible. Our dedicated Orthopedic Patient Navigator will be by the patients’ side every step of the way and will:
- Personalize the registration process
- Educate patients and families on what to expect before, during and after surgery
- Provide a tour of the Surgical Special Care Unit
- Perform routine follow-ups throughout your hospital stay and after discharge
